Alma Mae was my Granny, and one of the greatest influences in my life. She made people feel welcome, loved, and capable. I named this company for her because I want the way we do business to reflect the way she lived- with faith, kindness, strength, honesty, and a willingness to help!

She was born in Kentucky in 1911, one of eight children. She learned early what hard work and perseverance looked like. She went on to raise a large family, endure heartbreaking losses, and keep moving forward with faith and hope. She worked hard, cared for children and grandchildren, helped neighbors, welcomed people in, and always seemed to know what to say when someone needed wisdom or encouragement.

If I could sum my Granny up in one word, it would be-love, because that is how she made me feel- unconditionally loved, safe and comforted. She taught me that faith matters, family matters, hard work matters, and the way we treat people matters. She welcomed everyone. She listened. She gave wise advice. She helped people without needing attention for it.

I named Alma Mae Land Co. for her because I want her values to stay at the center of this business. She believed in welcoming people, listening first, treating others the way you want to be treated, and quietly doing the job well. I want landowners to feel heard and respected. I want us to keep our word, work hard, and do the job right. Most of all, I want people to leave every interaction feeling that they were treated the way we would want to be treated. That is the standard behind every conversation, every offer and every closing. That is the Alma Mae Way!
